The Big Picture of Daniel – M. A. Butler – 65 pages

The Book of Daniel is to the Old Testament what the Book of the Revelation is to the New Testament. Both provide an amazing outline of events that will occur in the Last Days, and both describe the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Most of Daniels prophecies have already been fulfilled but his concluding prophecy, in Ch 12, was “sealed till the time of the end” (Dan. 12:9).

The Book of Revelation provides greater detail of this final seven-year period before the Lord Jesus returns to reign as King of Kings. At that time the seals on the Book of prophecy will be loosed by “the Lion of the tribe of Judah”, who is also the “Lamb of God” (Rev. 5:1-9).

The study of Daniel’s prophecy is therefore essential to the understanding of John’s prophecy.

The author exhorts the reader to: “Remember that all the historical, as well as prophetic writing in this book, resolves around the unique people of Israel. This present, mystery Church Age does not fit into the context. As we see, Daniel’s writings jump over the gap (the Church Age) between the 69th and 70th week of years that we studied in chapter 9.

The various aspects of the Book of Daniel are explained with a minimum of words – and illustrated with helpful Charts and Diagrams
